Description

The route from Yerevan to Tsaghkadzor-Sevan starts at an altitude of 1000m above sea level and reaches up to 1900m. However, the ascent does not end there, since in Tsaghkadzor ropeway will take you to the Tsakhkunyats Mountains, and in Lake Sevan you will walk up to Sevanavank. Wonderful panoramic views open from the Tsakhkadzor ropeway and from Sevanavank.
The route also offers a variety of outdoor activities for all seasons of the year. In particular, in Tsaghkadzor you can enjoy the ropeway and zip line, skiing and snowboarding, riding a quad bike and snowmobile, and on Lake Sevan you can take a boat ride and enjoy a beach rest.

Kecharis Monastery / Kecharis monastery is located in Tsaghkadzor city. It consists of four churches, a vestibule and two chapels. The monastery was built in the 11th-13th centuries and was one of the prominent religious and cultural centers of medieval Armenia.
Tsaghkadzor Ropeway / Tsaghkadzor chairlift starts at the edge of Tsaghkadzor city and moves to the slopes of Mount Teghenis. It has 4 stations and reaches an altitude of 1966 meters to 2819 meters in 32 minutes.
Sevanavank Monastery / Sevanavank is standing on the rocky peninsula on the lake Sevan. Initially, in 874, the monastery was built at the small island. Later, in the era of Joseph Stalin, the water level fell about 20 metres, and the island transformed into a peninsula
Lake Sevan / The "blue" Sevan is the largest freshwater lake in the region. With an altitude of about 2000 meters above sea level, it’s one of the highest lakes in the world. The freshwater lake is surrounded by the Geghama mountains
